The Leaning Pile of Books

Unfortunately, it may continue to be a bit quiet around here a little longer while I’m still spending most of my time not at my job moving and unpacking (and any time not doing either in an exhausted haze). In the meantime here are a couple of new books that showed up in the mail this week. Curse of the Wolf Girl by Martin Millar The sequel to Lonely Wolf Girl is available on Amazon, although the letter I received […]

The Leaning Pile of Books

This week was much lower key than the giant pile from last week; I received one ARC. (And it’s another October book – there are so many books on the review pile that look good coming out that month!) The Spirit Thief by Rachel Aaron This is Rachel Aaron’s debut novel and the first book in the Legend of Eli Monpress series. It will be released in October and it will be quickly followed by the next two books – […]

The Leaning Pile of Books

This week’s post is pretty long since I got 11 books over this past week – 6 review copies, 3 gifts and 2 I bought myself. It’s times like this I wish I could read a lot faster since there are quite a few of these I’d like to read right now. As far as reviewing goes, I’m just about caught up finally. I have a draft of Naamah’s Kiss written. I haven’t started a review of the last book […]

The Leaning Pile of Books

This week I am hoping to get up a review of Feed by Mira Grant, which is about halfway written. After that there is only one book left to review, Naamah’s Kiss by Jacqueline Carey, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I might get caught up over this next week. This week I received one book in the mail that I am very excited about reading. An Artificial Night by Seanan McGuire The third book in the October Daye […]

The Leaning Pile of Books

Yesterday I finished a draft of a review of Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder, so hopefully I will get that up soon. Currently, I am working on a review of Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews, one of my favorite books read this year so far. I started reading Naamah’s Kiss by Jacqueline Carey since it is a very long book and I figured that I’d be caught up on reviews by the time I finished it without any problem. […]

The Leaning Pile of Books

On the reviewing front, I’ve finished a draft of Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews so I’m hoping to get that up next week, perhaps with the other review I’ve begun (Servant of a Dark God by John Brown). There are two more to write after that one, including Magic Strikes. I’m also nearly halfway through Magic Bleeds so I should be reviewing all the books in the Kate Daniels series in the near future. This week I got one book. […]
